Dates: 28 March to 19 April
Location: Lotherton, Leeds
Dragon Quest returns to Lotherton in 2026 with an all-new interactive experience designed for young explorers and families. This immersive Easter activity transforms the traditional egg hunt into a mythical journey filled with storytelling, discovery and adventure.
During the winter months, the enchanted dragon eggs at Lotherton have begun to lose their magic. Professor Pendragon, a renowned dragonologist, calls upon young adventurers to help restore their power.
Participants take on the role of Junior Dragon Wardens, following an explorer map to locate 12 hidden dragon nests across the estate. Each nest reveals clues and stories linked to dragons from around the world.
The quest takes participants on a global journey, introducing dragons inspired by diverse regions. From the misty highlands of Wales to the sacred temples of Japan and the icy Arctic tundra, each dragon has its own story and hidden location.
Children are encouraged to engage with the narrative, making the experience both educational and entertaining.
Once all 12 eggs have been found and their magic restored, participants can complete their mission at the Explorer’s Basecamp. Successful adventurers will receive an Official Dragonologist Certificate, recognising their achievement and bravery.
The adventure continues beyond the trail, with extra activities available throughout the site:
Please note that some Basecamp activities may incur an additional charge.
This Easter event is included with general admission to Lotherton, although advance booking is recommended due to high demand.
Dragon Quest offers a unique and engaging day out, combining outdoor exploration with imaginative storytelling. It is well suited for families seeking an interactive seasonal activity during the school holidays.
Visitors are encouraged to book early to secure their place and avoid disappointment.
