About

Located in the historic Moorside Mills in Eccleshill, Bradford Industrial Museum offers a unique glimpse into the city’s rich industrial past. Originally built around 1875 as a small worsted spinning mill, the mill expanded over the years through multiple ownerships.

In 1974, Bradford Council established the museum, now home to permanent displays of:

  • Textile machinery
  • Steam power exhibits
  • Engineering innovations
  • Historic motor vehicles

Visitors can immerse themselves in the sights, sounds, and smells of operational machinery. Experience spinning machines at full speed or gain insights from knowledgeable volunteers who demonstrate the traditional skills of printing and weaving.
