Situated on the Humber Estuary, The Deep is a renowned marine conservation and education centre, home to a world-class aquarium. As a member of the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA) and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA), The Deep is committed to wildlife preservation and educational outreach.

By participating in breeding initiatives and field conservation, The Deep plays an active role in marine life protection. It collaborates with leading conservation bodies, government organisations, and aquariums worldwide to contribute to ocean preservation efforts.

As an independent entity with no ongoing government funding, The Deep relies entirely on ticket sales and visitor contributions to sustain its conservation, education, and research projects.

Visitor Information

Opening Hours

The attraction is open daily from 10am – 6pm, with last entry at 5pm. Please note that The Deep is closed on 24th and 25th December.

Dining Options

Visitors can enjoy a variety of refreshments at the on-site cafés, offering a selection of hot and cold meals, snacks, and beverages. Those who prefer to bring their own food are welcome to use the designated Picnic Place or outdoor picnic seating areas.
