William’s Den is an award-winning family attraction in East Yorkshire, offering indoor and outdoor adventure play, delicious food, family events and camping.
Set in the Yorkshire countryside, William’s Den brings together imaginative play, natural materials and wide-open adventure. Children can climb, build, explore, splash, scramble and discover, with play areas designed to spark creativity and encourage outdoor confidence.
The attraction offers a full family day out in all weathers, with access to both the Indoor Den and outdoor adventure play included in standard admission. The woodland area is also available when open.
What Visitors Can Expect at William’s Den
Adventure Play
Adventure play at William’s Den combines indoor and outdoor fun, with spaces designed to encourage curiosity, creativity and active play.
Children can enjoy climbing towers, zip lines, natural trails, sand and water play, woodland exploration and imaginative play structures. The play areas use natural materials and are designed to offer a safe but exciting environment for children of different ages.
Indoor Adventure
The Indoor Den is William’s Den’s indoor adventure play area, created by play specialists and built by skilled craftspeople using sustainably sourced materials.
Designed for year-round play, it offers climbing, building, sensory experiences and imaginative structures, giving children space to explore and burn off energy whatever the weather.
Outdoor Adventure
Outdoors, the adventure continues with den-building, zip lines, trails, sand and water play, and plenty of space for children to run, climb and explore.
The outdoor areas are designed to make the most of the countryside setting, encouraging children to embrace fresh air, physical play and hands-on discovery.
Woodland Adventure
The Woodland Walk offers a quieter, nature-focused part of the William’s Den experience. It provides a peaceful trail where families can explore the natural woodland, build dens, climb over fallen logs and look for minibeasts.
The woodland area is seasonal and closes during winter, returning in spring. When open, it offers a screen-free outdoor adventure with opportunities for wildlife spotting, nature walks and countryside play.
Food and Drink
William’s Den places a strong emphasis on homemade food made with locally sourced ingredients.
William’s Pizzeria serves homemade pizzas, with food prepared on site by the kitchen team. The menu also includes hearty mains, homemade bakes and fresh, flavour-packed dishes using British and local produce.
Visitors can also enjoy homemade ice cream on site, with more than 24 flavours available.

Events and Camping
William’s Den hosts family events throughout the year, with seasonal activities and special experiences adding to the regular adventure play offer.
