The Glass Works Square in the heart of Barnsley town centre will be filled with festive cheer as the Barnsley Christmas Market takes place from Saturday 29 November to Sunday 21 December 2025. This brand-new Market Place Market promises a lively atmosphere, seasonal shopping and plenty of festive spirit in one of the town’s most popular spaces.

Entry is free for all visitors. Purchases of food, drink and items from stalls are charged separately.

Venue: The Glass Works Square, Barnsley town centre, S70 1GW. The Glass Works development is easily reached on foot from Barnsley Interchange, with direct bus and rail connections across South Yorkshire. Town centre car parks are available within a short walk of the market. The Glass Works Square is pedestrianised and fully accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
