Experience a week of exceptional classical music in the breathtaking surroundings of St Nicholas’ Church, High Bradfield. The award-winning Bradfield Festival of Music, established for over 25 years, welcomes internationally renowned artists performing a diverse programme of classical music.

Festival Venue

Location: St Nicholas’ Church, Town Gate, High Bradfield, Sheffield, S6 6LG

All concerts take place in this historic Grade I listed church, renowned for its outstanding acoustics and picturesque views over the Peak District National Park.

Concert Programme

Doors open: 18:45 | Concerts: 19:30 – 21:30 (including a 20-minute interval)

  • 21st June 2025: Abbeydale Singers – A cappella chamber choir performing classical and contemporary choral works by Herbert Howells, Hubert Parry, Duke Ellington, and more.
  • 23rd June 2025: Roderick Williams (baritone) & Christopher Glynn (piano) – A performance of English, Scottish, and Irish poetry set to music by composers from the UK and Ireland, including traditional folk songs.
  • 24th June 2025: Bliss in Bradfield – Mark Bebbington (piano), Rebeca Omordia (piano), Chu-Yu Yang (violin) – A special programme celebrating the 50th anniversary of Arthur Bliss, featuring works by Bliss, Vaughan Williams, Ireland, Alwyn, and Venables.
  • 25th June 2025: Nikolaas Kende (piano) & Jolente De Maeyer (violin) – A duo renowned for their synergy, performing works by Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, and Kreisler.
  • 26th June 2025: Linos Piano Trio – Prach Boondiskulchok (piano), Konrad Elias-Trostmann (violin), Vladimir Waltham (cello) – Featuring compositions by Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn, Fauré, and Tchaikovsky.
  • 27th June 2025: Marmen Quartet – Performing Ravel’s String Quartet in honour of his 150th anniversary, alongside pieces by Haydn and Mozart.
  • 28th June 2025: Symphonic Brass of London – A dynamic closing concert featuring music from Handel to Lennon and McCartney.

Patron Pass: £138 (Includes entry to all seven concerts, early admission, and an invitation to the Patrons’ Evening Reception at The Old Horns Inn on 27th June.)

Car Parking

Follow signs for ‘Festival Parking’. Limited spaces are available in the crew yard and sometimes in a nearby field at Church Farm, Brown House Lane. On-road parking is also possible, and patrons of The Old Horns Inn may use its car park.
