Bridlington Kite Festival returns for another thrilling weekend on the East Yorkshire coast, filling the skies with giant inflatables, colourful creations and spectacular displays from some of the UK’s and world’s leading kite fliers. Held on the cliff tops at Sewerby, this free two-day festival brings thousands of visitors together to enjoy expert demonstrations, have-a-go sessions, street food, children’s entertainment and a vibrant family atmosphere.

Free entry for all visitors. Dogs welcome on leads.

Plan Your Visit

  • Parking: The nearest car parks include Sewerby Picnic Car Park (YO15 1ER) and Limekiln Lane Car Park (YO15 2LX). Pay and display charges apply. Additional parking is available at Headlands Secondary School with a suggested donation.
  • Road Closures: Cliff Road will be closed 8am–5pm each day with resident-only access to Church Lane and Sewerby Park Close.
  • Disabled Parking: Allocated bays available in Sewerby Picnic Car Park (charges apply). Access to the festival is via grass.
  • Coach Parking: Limekiln Lane Coach Park (YO15 2LX) offers long-stay coach parking (charges apply).
  • Land Trains: North Side Land Trains (East Riding Leisure to Sewerby Hall & Gardens) stop next to the festival field. South Side Land Trains run from South Cliff Park & Ride to Bridlington Spa, linking with the North Side route.
  • Rail: The nearest station is Bridlington Railway Station (YO15 3EP). Approx. 10-minute taxi or 40–45-minute walk.
  • On Foot: Access via coastal paths from Bridlington, Sewerby, Danes Dyke, South Landing and Flamborough.
  • Facilities: Street food and drink, picnic areas, portaloos (including disabled), first aid, children’s fun fair, demonstrations, charity stalls and a lost children’s point.

Please note – no overnight camping, no BBQs, no alcohol and no drones.
