Dr Who Event Leeds: An Afternoon with Andrew Cartmell and Stephen Wyatt

About

Set in the intimate surroundings of Headrow House in Leeds, enjoy a chilled afternoon in the company of two greats from behind the scenes of the seventh Doctor Who, Sylvester McCoy.

Andrew Cartmel was script editor of the popular BBC show between 1987 and 1989, and is also the author of many novels and comics. Stephen Wyatt is a writer for theatre, radio and television. He wrote two scripts for McCoy’s Doctor Who; ‘Paradise Towers’ and ‘The Greatest Show in the Galaxy’. The speakers will talk in detail about their time with the Doctor, but also about their varied careers.

As always, the conversation will be illustrated with interesting slides and video clips, and there will be ample opportunity to ask questions. During the coffee break there will also be the chance to get signatures and photos with the guests.

These events are always great fun, not just for fans of the series, but also for anyone with an interest in the production of television programs and the history of the BBC.

Doors open at 13:30 on Sunday 18th May, with the show commencing at 14:00 prompt.
