Farmer Copleys Pumpkin Festival 2026

About

Farmer Copleys Pumpkin Festival 2026 is returning to West Yorkshire this autumn, bringing more than 300,000 homegrown pumpkins, over 40 varieties and a packed programme of seasonal entertainment to Ravensknowle Farm.

Running from 26 September to 1 November 2026 in Pontefract, the popular Yorkshire pumpkin festival will give visitors the chance to explore the pumpkin fields, choose their own pumpkins and enjoy family activities, live entertainment, food, fairground rides and seasonal attractions.

More Than 300,000 Pumpkins at Farmer Copleys

At the heart of the festival are more than 300,000 pumpkins grown at Farmer Copleys. Over 40 varieties have been planted for 2026, ranging from traditional round orange pumpkins to miniature varieties, creamy whites, deep greens, striped pumpkins and unusual shapes.

The extensive selection also reflects the growing popularity of autumn pumpkin displays. Rather than choosing a single carving pumpkin, visitors can combine different colours, shapes and sizes to create seasonal displays for doorsteps, porches and homes.

Live Music at the Pumpkin Festival

Selected festival dates will feature live music, with the 2026 line-up including Matt Hodges, Jake O’Neill, Ryan Evans with Gasoline and Matches, Bootleggers, Maxed Out and One Night in Nashville.

Visitors are advised to check the festival schedule when booking to see which entertainment is planned for their chosen date.

Pumpkin Porches and Chrysanthemums for 2026

Farmer Copleys is also introducing chrysanthemums, often known as ‘mums’, for the 2026 festival. Commonly combined with pumpkins in American autumn porch displays, the flowers provide another option for visitors looking to create seasonal displays at home.

The farm’s selection of large and miniature pumpkins, traditional oranges, muted whites, greens and striped varieties can be mixed with chrysanthemums to create individual autumn arrangements.

Farmer Copleys owner Heather Copley said visitors have become increasingly adventurous when choosing pumpkins, with more people selecting multiple colours and sizes for decorating rather than simply picking one large pumpkin for carving.

Yorkshire-Grown Pumpkins

The pumpkins featured at the festival are grown at Farmer Copleys in Yorkshire. A diverse selection of varieties is planted to produce the colourful pumpkin fields that visitors can explore during the autumn season.

The scale and variety of the crop mean visitors can search the fields for pumpkins suited to carving, cooking or seasonal decorating.

Autumn Food at Farmer Copleys

The pumpkin theme will continue across the wider farm during the festival. Moo Café will offer a dedicated pumpkin specials menu, while Copleys Kitchen will serve a selection of autumn desserts, including a seasonal gelato sundae.

The Farm Shop will also stock seasonal produce and treats, including Farmer Copleys’ freshly baked pumpkin bread and a selection of pumpkin-inspired products to take home.
