Railway enthusiasts and families alike can enjoy a full weekend of miniature railways, specialist traders, and hands-on demonstrations at The Festival of British Railway Modelling 2026. Taking place on 7–8 February at Doncaster Racecourse, this much-loved annual event gathers modellers, collectors, clubs, and manufacturers from across the UK for two packed days of creativity and inspiration.

The Festival of British Railway Modelling is considered one of the country’s leading shows for the hobby, offering visitors the chance to see outstanding layouts, meet skilled modellers, and pick up new ideas and products. Advance booking closes at 8:30 AM on the day of the show. Card payment is preferred on arrival (Visa/Mastercard only).
The venue operates a cashless system for all catering outlets, and there are no on-site cash machines. Traders may accept cash or card at their discretion. Doncaster Racecourse enforces a no-smoking policy, including e-cigarettes. Only official guide and assistance dogs are permitted.
For help during the event, visitors can head to the World of Railways / BRM stand in the main entrance or speak with a marshal.
All exhibition areas are fully accessible, with level access and lifts to upper-floor catering spaces. A companion’s ticket is available for those who require full-time assistance, subject to supporting documentation being emailed in advance. First aid is available from the medical room on the ground floor.
