An interactive gaming experience will arrive in Leeds this Easter as Gamesmania® takes over the Merrion Centre, offering a mix of retro arcade fun, immersive technology and family-friendly entertainment.
Running from Saturday 4 April to Saturday 11 April 2026, the pop-up event will be open daily from 10:00am to 4:00pm, transforming a large unit on the Centre’s main mall into a lively gaming hub.
Visitors can choose between two sessions each day:
Gamesmania® will feature more than 120 playable systems, covering five decades of gaming history. From classic consoles and computers dating back to the 1970s to modern favourites, the event is designed to appeal to both nostalgic players and younger audiences.

The event has been designed as an inclusive experience for all visitors. An autism-friendly session will take place on Tuesday 7 April (morning session), featuring reduced capacity, brighter lighting and lower sound levels.
In addition, an Adults-Only (18+) evening will be held on Friday 10 April from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. This session will include mature titles, LAN shooters, virtual reality experiences, arcade challenges and themed refreshments, including craft beers.
The team behind the event aims to create a blend of classic and contemporary gaming, combining nostalgia with modern interactive experiences. The space will also feature themed props and immersive elements designed to enhance the overall atmosphere.
