The annual Harrogate Charity Stray Bonfire & Fireworks returns on Saturday 8th November 2025, lighting up the Stray near Oatlands. Organised by Harrogate Round Table, this long-running community event has been a highlight for over 50 years, combining spectacular fireworks with a roaring bonfire, live entertainment and a brilliant family-friendly atmosphere. The event also raises vital funds for local charities, with this year’s donations supporting Martin House.

Why Visit?

This is one of Yorkshire’s best-loved firework displays, known for its community spirit and charitable purpose. As one of the few large-scale displays that does not charge an entry fee, it offers an inclusive evening for families while also supporting a good cause. With entertainment before the bonfire, followed by a professional fireworks display, it’s a great way to mark Bonfire Night in Harrogate.

Entry

There is no entry fee for this event. A suggested donation of £5 per person is encouraged to help cover costs and support Martin House. Volunteers will be collecting donations on the evening.

Plan Your Visit

The event is held on the Stray alongside Oatlands Drive, near St Aidan’s School, Harrogate. There is no parking in the immediate vicinity, so attendees are advised to arrive on foot or use public transport. The site is flat and open, making it accessible for families and visitors of all ages, but large crowds are expected so arriving early is recommended.
