The much-loved Hebden Bridge Easter Duck Race returns on Easter Monday, 6th April 2026, bringing a splash of fun to the town as thousands of ducks take to the water for this long-running charity event. Organised by the Rotary Club of Hebden Bridge, the race is the centrepiece of a full day of family entertainment, with music, stalls and children’s activities creating a lively Easter atmosphere.
The Easter Duck Race has become a true Calder Valley tradition, attracting locals and visitors alike for a day of light-hearted competition and community spirit. With charity stalls, children’s rides and performances from local musicians, it offers the perfect blend of fun and fundraising. The race itself draws big crowds as spectators cheer on their ducks along the river.
It’s an ideal family outing, combining Easter celebrations with the charm of Hebden Bridge’s independent shops, cafés and riverside scenery.
Duck Race tickets cost £1. Full 2026 timings and programme details will be confirmed nearer the date.
The event takes place in Hebden Bridge, with activities spread around the town centre. Parking is limited, so visitors are encouraged to use public transport, with regular trains and buses running into Hebden Bridge. Free parking is available at Burnley Road car park, and pay-what-you-can parking at Mytholmroyd Community Centre, a 20–30 minute accessible canal-side walk from the town.
