Hornsea Carnival 2025

About

Hornsea Carnival, East Yorkshire’s longest-running free carnival, returns from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th July 2025. This year’s theme is “The Wild West”, promising a weekend packed with family-friendly entertainment, live music, parades, and community spirit.

Date and Time

  • Friday, 18 July 2025: From 4:00 PM – Carnival opens with a fireworks display at approximately 9:45 PM.
  • Saturday, 19 July 2025: From 10:00 AM – Parade at 12:30 PM, followed by live music and entertainment throughout the day.
  • Sunday, 20 July 2025: From 10:00 AM – Fun run at 9:45 AM, live bands from 12:00 PM to 4:30 PM, and various activities until late afternoon.

Event Highlights

  • Friday Night: Opening ceremony with live music, food and drink stalls, craft tents, and a spectacular fireworks display.
  • Saturday: Grand parade through the town, live performances on the park stage, entertainment arenas featuring acts like Cirque Du Valerian and dance troupes, funfair rides, axe throwing, and Star Wars cosplay groups.
  • Saturday Night: Evening music event at Hornsea Floral Hall, featuring live bands and community festivities.
  • Sunday: Family fun run in partnership with Hornsea Harriers, bird of prey displays, tug of war competitions, magic workshops, and continuous live music.

Entry

Admission to Hornsea Carnival is completely free. The event is organised by volunteers and funded through donations and sponsorships. Attendees are encouraged to support the carnival by contributing to bucket collections during the event or donating online.
