Ilkley Carnival returns on Monday 4th May 2026, bringing colour, creativity and community spirit to Ilkley Town Centre for its much-loved May bank holiday celebration. This annual not-for-profit event transforms The Grove into a vibrant parade route and family festival, all while raising vital funds for local groups, charities and causes. It’s a brilliant day out for visitors and a proud tradition for the town.
Monday 4th May 2026, from 11:00am
The carnival offers a full day of fun, led by its famous themed parade, which sees schools, community groups and local organisations take to the streets in spectacular costume. Once the procession arrives at the showground, families can enjoy stalls, entertainment, activities and displays, all delivered by dedicated volunteers.
Every ticket sold helps support projects across Ilkley, making this a feel-good event with a positive impact far beyond the bank holiday itself.
At time of listing, tickets cost £8 for adults, £6 for adults booking in advance, and £2 for children. Carer tickets are available for £2.
Ilkley Carnival takes place across Ilkley Town Centre, with the parade running along The Grove (LS29 9LW). The town is easily reached by train and bus, with public transport recommended due to road closures and event-day traffic. Visitors can find further details and updates at ilkleycarnival.org.
