Temple Newsam in Leeds is set to host West Yorkshire’s newest festive attraction: the immersive light trail known as Northern Lights. Following its sell-out success in Newcastle, this acclaimed event is expected to draw over 100,000 visitors to its debut in Leeds.
Set among the heritage gardens and picturesque woodlands of Temple Newsam, Northern Lights promises a spectacular journey through a myriad of illuminations and unique musical compositions. Visitors can expect:
The light trail, approximately one mile in length, will be complemented by bespoke original compositions, elevating the event into a multi-sensory experience. Additionally, visitors can explore the magical Christmas Village, which will offer a variety of food and drink from local artisan street food vendors and bars.
The event will also host two neuro-inclusive evenings, featuring reduced capacity and lower audio volumes to provide a more comfortable experience for all attendees.
Northern Lights Leeds is produced by From The Fields, the team behind successful light trails such as Cardiff’s Christmas at Bute Park and Newcastle’s Northern Lights at Leazes Park. Known for their multi-award-winning event ‘Kendal Calling’, From The Fields is deeply connected to Leeds, with two founders having lived in the city for over a decade.
The event will feature work from both local and national talents, including Ithaca Studios, renowned for their headline installations at Kew Gardens, Netflix, and Glastonbury.
