Experience the thrill of Race The Waves, a unique four-day vintage motoring spectacle in Bridlington, from Thursday, June 12 to Sunday, June 15, 2025. This event is a highlight of East Yorkshire’s calendar, featuring vintage vehicles and motorbikes racing on Bridlington South Beach.

About This Event

Race The Waves draws from the historic UK Motor Speed Trials and American desert and street drag races. Watch spirited drag-races over a 200-yard course marked on fresh tidal sand, with motorcycles often racing in groups. The event kicks off with ‘Yesteryears Day’ in Burton Fleming, followed by the showcase of beach-race vehicles in Old Town, culminating in the main racing event at South Beach.

Programme of Events

• Thursday, June 12: Yesteryears Day – social gathering and pre-event celebration at Burton Fleming.
• Friday, June 13: Display of beach-race vehicles in The Old Town of Bridlington.
• Saturday and Sunday, June 14 & 15: Main beach races at South Beach, Steampunk in The Spa, and Bridlington Lions Auto-Show on South Marine Drive.
