Ripon Racecourse will once again host the city’s annual Bonfire Night celebration on Friday 7th November 2025. A much-loved community event, it brings together a roaring bonfire, a spectacular fireworks display and a welcoming family atmosphere, all set within the spacious grounds of the racecourse. With food stalls, glowsticks and seasonal treats available inside, it promises an evening of tradition and excitement for all ages.

The Ripon City Bonfire is one of the most popular family events in the area, drawing large crowds to enjoy an organised and safe display. Combining a crackling bonfire with a professional fireworks show, it creates the perfect setting for celebrating Bonfire Night with family and friends. Volunteers and marshals ensure everything runs smoothly, so visitors can focus on soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying the evening.
With affordable entry prices, advance ticket savings and a community feel, this event continues to be a firm favourite in the city calendar.
Advance tickets cost £5 for adults and £2 for children under 16, with a family ticket (two adults and two children) available for £12. On-the-gate prices are £6 for adults and £3 for children. Children under 3 go free, and under 14s must be accompanied by an adult. Advance tickets are available from local outlets including Hay’s Travel, Nisa Local, Ripon Leisure Centre, Craggs Electrical and Ripon Print Group.
The Ripon City Bonfire takes place at Ripon Racecourse, Boroughbridge Road, Ripon, HG4 1UG. Gates open at 5:30pm with the bonfire at 7:00pm and fireworks at 7:30pm. Parking is available on grass within the racecourse grounds but can get busy, so please allow extra time. A clearly marked footpath from Ripon to the racecourse is also provided for those arriving on foot or with pushchairs.
