STATUESQUE arrives at Cliffe Castle Park on Saturday 9 August 2025 for a fun-filled, family-friendly afternoon of creativity and celebration. As part of The Beacon Tour and marking Cliffe Castle’s 75th birthday, this free event invites visitors of all ages to take part in a community art workshop and enjoy a walkabout performance from costumed characters inspired by Bradford’s parks.
Created by artists Naomi Parker and Rachel Hyde (director of stilt walking company Chicks on Sticks), the event brings to life characters inspired by Lister Park’s bronze stag, Bowling Park’s wooden bear and a drumming squirrel. They’ll be joined by returning favourites Bracewell the Dragon and Salt and Pepper the Alpaca.
This is a free drop-in event with no tickets required. All ages are welcome. Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the workshop and parade.
