The Wizard Walk of York brings spellbinding magic, comedy and family fun to the historic streets of the city. Created especially for children but designed for all ages to enjoy, this award-winning tour begins at St Crux Church on the Shambles and leads families on an enchanting journey through York’s most characterful corners. Led by Phoenix the Red or Viridian the Green, it’s a light-hearted alternative to traditional ghost walks, packed with laughter, interaction and magical surprises.

Entry

Tickets cost £12 for adults and £12 for children aged 3–17. Babies and children under 3 go free. Wizard Wand Kits are available for £6 as an optional extra.

Plan Your Visit

Tours begin outside St Crux Church at the bottom of the Shambles, York. The city centre is well served by buses and is a 15-minute walk from York Railway Station. Allow time to navigate the busy streets, especially at weekends. Each tour follows a circular route and finishes close to the starting point.
