Thought Bubble, the award-winning Yorkshire comic convention and festival, has announced a new group of big-name guests for this year’s convention. They will join a list of 580 exhibitors and creators, carefully curated by the Thought Bubble team. Loved by creators and fans alike, Thought Bubble will take over the massive Harrogate Convention Centre this November for their seventeenth convention.

New Special Guests

• James Tynion IV – Eisner Award-winning, New York Times bestselling writer and publisher (Something is Killing the Children, Wynd, DC’s Batman, Tiny Onion Productions)
• Zoe Thorogood – Bradford-born comic book author and winner of the Eisner 2023 Russ Manning Award (It’s Lonely at the Centre of the Earth, The Impending Blindness of Billie Scott, Life Is Strange)
• Kieron Gillen – Multi-award-winning writer and co-creator (The Wicked + The Divine, The Power Fantasy, DIE)
• Álvaro Martínez Bueno – Spanish comic book artist and co-creator of The Nice House on the Lake (with James Tynion IV), contributor to DC Comics series such as Detective Comics and Justice League Dark
• Alex Norris – Creator of the three-panel webcomic series Webcomic Name
• Alison Sampson – Yorkshire-born, horror-inspired artist and writer (Department of Truth, Jessica Jones, Hellboy)
• Chrissy Williams – Poet, editor, and comic book writer (Golden Rage, Image Comics, Over the Line: An Intro to Poetry Comics)
• Fernando Blanco – Spanish artist and co-creator of the acclaimed series WORLDTR33 (with James Tynion IV)
• Martin Simmonds – Eisner-nominated comic artist and co-creator (The Department of Truth, Dying is Easy, Punks Not Dead)
• Matt Ferguson – Co-Founder and Creative Director of Vice Press, known for stylised artwork for Guardians Of The Galaxy and Star Wars promotional posters
• Michael Dialynas – Eisner-nominated artist (Zawa + The Belly of the Beast, Wynd, IDW’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)

Exhibitors

Thought Bubble 2024 will feature nearly 600 exhibitors, including artists, writers, small-press publishers, and other creators. The Thought Bubble team has handpicked 580 exhibitors from a record number of applications, ensuring a diverse range of genres, disciplines, and styles for attendees to enjoy.

Early Ticket Collection

Attendees will be able to collect their tickets early at box office desks set up in independent venues around Harrogate on the Friday evening before the convention. This early collection will reduce queuing time on the first day and encourage fans to explore and support Harrogate’s independent businesses.

Tickets

Tickets for Thought Bubble Comic Convention are on sale now. Newly introduced options for families and students are available, while tickets for under 12s, carers, and over 65s remain free. Tickets provide access to all events during the convention weekend, including panels, workshops, guest signings, and the three huge halls of over 500 exhibitors.
