About Yorkshire Vintage Association (YVA)

The Yorkshire Vintage Association (YVA) comprises three member groups within the wider National Vintage Tractor & Engine Club (NVTEC): West Yorkshire, East Yorkshire, and Pennine groups.

Newby Hall holds a special place in history as the family home of Mr. & Mrs. Richard Compton. It stands as one of England’s distinguished Adam houses, showcasing an exceptional example of 18th-century interior decoration. Initially built in the 1690s by Sir Christopher Wren, the house underwent enlargement and adaptation by John Carr and subsequently Robert Adam. Visitors can now explore the house by booking guided tours, offering an hour-long journey through the ground floor and second-floor rooms. Newby’s award-winning gardens, predominantly developed in the early 1920s, have continually evolved over the years, making a significant contribution to 20th-century gardening.

With a vibrant assembly of over 1,600 exhibitors and a diverse array of entertainment, crafts, food, and beverages, Tractorfest provides an exceptional day out for individuals of all ages with an interest in farm or industrial machinery. Admission grants access to Newby’s celebrated gardens, the adventure playground, dollhouse, and teddy bear exhibitions.

Dogs are warmly welcomed on the show field but are kindly requested to refrain from entering Newby Gardens.
