Blending history, folklore and documented encounters, this atmospheric walk explores eerie tales and mysterious happenings rooted in the city’s haunted past. The night begins with a slice of pizza at The Black Horse before the group heads into the shadowy streets for a journey through centuries of unsettling stories.

This immersive ghost walk offers a gripping way to experience Wakefield’s heritage after dark. Each tale featured on the route has been thoroughly researched and connected to real historical accounts, local folklore, and long-recorded sightings. It’s a chance to explore the city’s hidden stories, learn about its most haunted corners, and enjoy exclusive after-hours access to a location where unexplained activity has been reported for generations.

The walk begins and ends at The Black Horse, which is open daily from midday (closed Mondays). Visitors are encouraged to arrive a little early to check in and enjoy their pre-walk pizza. As this is an outdoor tour, comfortable footwear and suitable clothing are recommended. Regular ghost walks are planned to continue throughout 2026.
