The Wakefield Vegan Festival is set to arrive in the town for the first time on Saturday 3 October 2026. Organised by Vegan Events UK, the event will bring together a wide range of plant-based food producers, ethical retailers, charities and lifestyle exhibitors for a day dedicated to vegan living.
Taking place at Unity Hall in Wakefield, the festival will feature more than 60 vegan stalls showcasing food, drink, beauty products, sustainable fashion, gifts and homeware. Visitors will also have the opportunity to attend talks, demonstrations and workshops focused on plant-based living and ethical consumer choices.
The festival aims to provide a welcoming environment for vegans, vegetarians, flexitarians and anyone interested in learning more about a plant-based lifestyle.
Since 2017, Vegan Events UK has organised festivals across the country, creating opportunities for visitors to discover plant-based products and support independent businesses. The events showcase the growing variety and accessibility of vegan living while helping consumers connect with ethical brands and organisations.
Over the years, the festivals have welcomed hundreds of traders specialising in sustainable and cruelty-free products. Exhibitors range from food producers and artisan bakers to fashion retailers, charities and wellbeing specialists.
Visitors can browse an extensive selection of products throughout the day, including:
The event offers a convenient shopping experience where visitors can browse products without the need to check labels, while discovering items that may not be available in mainstream supermarkets.
Among the organisations attending the festival is Miracle’s Mission, a non-profit animal welfare charity that supports sick, injured and disabled animals around the world. The charity works to provide safe refuge for vulnerable animals, promotes responsible neutering programmes for pets and strays, and helps reduce animal suffering through rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming initiatives.
The organisation also operates from a UK rescue base, providing specialist support for dogs with disabilities and complex needs.
Unity Hall is conveniently located close to Wakefield Westgate railway station and is easily accessible by local bus services, making it a practical destination for visitors travelling from across Yorkshire and beyond.
