Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Yorkshire Winter Wonderland returns to York Designer Outlet from Friday 14th November 2025 to Sunday 4th January 2026. York’s favourite festive event offers a magical winter experience for all ages, featuring the North of England’s largest outdoor ice rink, a thrilling funfair, Santa’s Grotto, and the cosy alpine café, The Chalet. It’s the perfect way to embrace the Christmas season with family and friends.

For two decades, Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland has brought festive joy to visitors from across the region. Whether gliding across real ice beneath twinkling lights, visiting Santa in his Enchanted Forest, or warming up with mulled wine at The Chalet, this enchanting winter attraction is a must-visit. The event combines seasonal nostalgia with modern touches, offering everything from classic rides to contemporary lighting displays.
With shopping, skating and festive treats all in one place, it’s easy to see why this has become one of Yorkshire’s most beloved Christmas destinations.
Entry to Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland is free. Ice skating tickets cost £17.54 for adults, £16.44 for children aged 15 and under, and £16.44 for concessions (prices include booking fees). Family packages are available, and visits to Santa’s Grotto start from £8.50 including booking fee. Tokens for funfair rides can be purchased on site.
Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland takes place at York Designer Outlet, St Nicholas Avenue, York, YO19 4TA. The venue offers free parking and is easily accessible by bus from York city centre. Visitors can enjoy skating sessions, festive shopping and dining all in one location, with late-night opening hours throughout the season. Pre-booking for skating and Santa’s Grotto is advised due to high demand.
